Hailey Elise Robinson

Hailey is a native of Okmulgee, OK, and currently resides in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. She is an entrepreneur (e.g., natural hair cosmetologist, author, and content creator) and a full-time doctoral student focusing on developmental education. Before taking a leap of faith into full-time entrepreneurship, she spent years as an educator, natural hairstylist, and corporate recruiter. She holds degrees and credentials in Speech Communications (Bachelor's), Sociology (Bachelor's), Educational Leadership (Master's), Business (Certificate), and Cosmetology (License).

Today, with the publication of her first children's book, Malashia's Magical Twists, and her growing accessory brand for young girls, she has been able to merge all of her interests and passions into her work.

As a Black and Chickasaw woman, Hailey recognizes the importance of representation in educational spaces and the power of storytelling. Her love for [Black] natural hair care began in the summer of 2012 when she decided to do the "big chop" and return to her natural hair. Since then, she has accumulated a following of over 17,000 people across YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook. Along the way, she has developed a passion for helping people on their natural hair journey, creating hundreds of natural hair tutorials and hair care-related videos.

Aside from her work in hair care, Hailey loves spending time with her family, traveling, creating, and engaging in community work with her sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She is currently working on her next children's book.

Malashia is a middle schooler in Oklahoma, where she excels in art, math, and science. She enjoys playing basketball, running track, dancing, and playing video games. She is also a tribal citizen of the Muscogee Creek Nation.
