Hailey Elise Robinson
Hailey is a native of Okmulgee, OK. She resides in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. She is an entrepreneur (e.g., natural hair cosmetologist, author, and content creator) and a full-time doctoral student focusing on curriculum and instruction with a focus on language and literacy. Before this, she spent years as an educator and corporate recruiter. She has gained degrees and credentials in Speech Communications (bachelor's), Sociology (bachelor's), Educational Leadership (master's), Business (certificate) and Cosmetology (license).
Today, with the publication of her first children's book, "Malashia's Magical Twists" and her growing children's book series, she has been able to merge all her interests and passions into her work.
As a Black and Chickasaw woman, Hailey recognizes the importance of representation in educational spaces and the power of storytelling. Her love of textured hair care began in the summer of 2012 when she decided to 'big chop' and return to natural. Since then, she has accumulated thousands of haircare-related videos. Along the way, she has fallen in love with helping people on their natural hair journey. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, attending festivals, and volunteering with her sorority, Alpha kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
She is currently working on her next children's book series.
